Winter time often brings us to think more of people in need and this time around, let's get together for a good cause. We are very proud to support CHILDREN HOPE in co-organizing this Charity Auction Event on Thursday, October 29th from 7 to 9:30pm at the beautifully-designed SIN Lounge.

Join us for a fantastic view and an enjoyable evening of fun with our usual OCN atmosphere! Attend this special auction around some of the Shanghai biggest philanthropists, successful leaders in their respective industries, admirable sponsors, and kind-hearted buyers for items which value starts from RMB3,000. The entrance fee includes raffle tickets for our exceptional lucky draw too! We will be giving away more than 20 prizes ranging from healthy products to luxury SPA vouchers or tickets to the upcoming World Expo etc...and many more surprises!

RMB150 fee will give you soft drinks and wine, canapes and a raffle ticket. You can purchase more raffle tickets at the door and total prizes amounts to 50,000RMB!

The long awaiting OCN summer mixer is finally here. Kick-off this weekend by chilling out and meeting new friends with the top class atmosphere that only OCN can provide.

The next event will be at a beautiful new bar/restaurant concept space in the French Concession area called "1OZ3", at No. 1 Yueyang Road, near Fenyang Road, with easy access from Hengshan Road or Changshu Road Metro stations. Bring your business cards, and come and enjoy yourself.

The event will run from 7-10pm, and 60RMB entry will get you one free drink, quality finger food and our classic great atmosphere. Please see the photo gallery from our past events if you don't know what we're talking about!

There will also be a lucky draw from our sponsors, with prizes from our sponsors Apsara Spa and JZ School.

Not flying out this winter? Join us for an informal Chinese New Year's dinner.

Although many of us are flying home for Chinese New Year, we realized that are fair few are staying in Shanghai too. For those that are, we're extending a (last minute) welcome to join us for dinner on Friday 8th February.

We were originally planning a small dinner for ourselves - but would like to open the opportunity for all OCNers to get to know each other in a more casual setting - and for the longer-term OCN members, a chance to re-unite and chat.

As we need to book a restaurant, RSVPs are required. If you are interested, as time is short, please email us with a "tentative" number of people (including yourself) ASAP. You can change this to a "confirmed" number once you are fairly sure of how many in your group. Guest's names are not necessary - just # of people (lets work on the trust system). As usual, feel free to invite your Overseas Chinese friends.

We will choose a restaurant depending on the tentative # of guests received by Monday 4th February; and please give us final numbers by Wednesday 6th February. We'll aim for a restaurant around 100RMB per head (drinks may be extra). If you have a good restaurant suggestion, please let us know.

The Original OCN Mixer

OCN's next mixer is ready to go on Friday April 6th! The next mixer will be at a snazzy little cafe in downtown Shanghai, going from 7pm until 10pm. Bring your business cards for the one and only focused Overseas Chinese social / networking opportunity in town! The venue is Neo Cafe, right near Nanjing West Road subway station and the Four seasons hotel (address below). OCN's next mixer will be at a private mansion in the French concession area, with an iron gate and own private courtyard. How's that for exclusive? ;) The place to look for is the Talk Da Talk Clubhouse.
